Countdown Starts

We have created this blog for family and friends to follow our cross Pacific adventure to the land Downunder. Only one more week before we hit the skies to sunny warm Australia!

Kieran (9yrs old) and Sean (7 yrs old) are anxiously counting the sleeps until they see their loved ones again in Australia. The boys have been fortunate enough to take this journey in 2014, but this time will be different. Their beloved Uncle Chris in Australia has finally decided to get married and we're all heading down for the big event!

Not only will Kieran and Sean be accompanied by mum and dad, their cousins, Eamon (13 yrs old) and Malcolm (11 yrs old), along with their Nana and Papa will be going too! But before you say, 'what are these grandparents thinking travelling with all the kids?', we need to clarify things - Nana and Papa will be on a separate peaceful flight far away from 4 very excited boys. How will mum and dad cope with 4 boys on the plane for 24 hours!

Kieran is keen to build on his surfing skills Uncle Chris taught him 2 years ago. Sean is eager to see Kangaroo's again, and is determined to bring a boomerang back for his class. Eamon and Malcolm have never been, so they have lots of things to discover.

Mum is now in lock-down mode arranging suitcases with military like precision.

Our dear Josh, who is over from Liverpool England, is staying behind to tend to the farm chores while rest of us enjoy the sunny beaches. Not sure what worries mum more, travelling with 4 young boys on a 24 hour flight, or leaving her precious farm animals behind in Josh's care?? Everyday we hear things around the house like; remember to collect the eggs, make sure the chickens have food, don't forget to fill the water trough for the horses, remember to let the dog in at night, make sure you feed the cat, and for heavens sake, don't forget the fish. Thankfully we are blessed to have wonderful family and friends who have offered to check in on Josh in our absence. He's a long way from Liverpool now!

Stay tuned for our next update. We will be posting pictures and stories as we go.
